If you are a review mod and want me to remove your profile off of this post, pm me. And for those people who want to know who are the review mods, this is who is a review mod, hell check the FAQ next time.

Stay on the topic of the submission and do not make personal remarks or insults towards the author. This is a big offense. Telling artists "You suck!", "You should go kill yourself!", "You are gay!" etc., will get you banned and you may lose your account. Without our contributors Newgrounds wouldn't be what it is, so we take seriously any insults directed at them by reviewers.

This means, DON'T SAY GO KILL YOURSELF OR YOU SUCK in the review. Personally, this deserves a flag even if this happens.

Well, your movement needs improvement, also, go kill yourself.

Even if the reviewer gave some pointers, he also said "Go kill yourself." This means he hates the author and wants him to stop by killing himself. Really, if you worked hard and all you get is "YOU SUCK, GO KILL YOURSELF FUCKING NOOB", it may piss you off. This deserves a flag, even if there were some tips.

Do not post TONS and TONS of crappy reviews just to get high in the rankings. If we catch someone doing this we will delete all their reviews - wouldn't that be a pain in the ass? Take your time and write a sincere review for every movie you wish to critique. Make sure your review is relative to the submission. Reviews that are found to offer no benefit to the author may be deleted.

TL;DR? Don't post billions of reviews that says the same thing. It is stat whoring, and also can and will get your reviews deleted. This can even make your reviews a flagging goldmine. Think about it, having 100 great reviews, that tells the author the movie or game's ups and downs, and telling them what needs improvement is better than 1 million one word reviews. So, don't spam, or your reviews go bye bye and maybe you won't be able to review anymore. Flag.

Note: If you do that, you are just hurting yourself, and the people that flagged your spam-alt, they get nothing, you lose an account.

Do not use the review space for the purpose of promoting things. Stick to reviewing the movies - we don't want to hear about how great your website is. Also, posting links to websites that reward you for sending hits is prohibited; we will delete your account for the first offense with no warning. Posting unrelated links is also prohibited and will result in a ban.

Guess what this means? In my own words, it means Don't fucking post links to your website on your reviews, or advertise. So posting Outwar will get you banned in reviewing, or even your account gets deleted. Even if you gave them tips, and said "Go on my website for free porn at www.notporn.com", its advertising, and deserves a flag.

Note: If it is relevant, it might not be abusive, need someone to conform this, preferably a review mod.

Do not flood the review title or body. Examples would be long strings of characters or words with no breaks or repeating words or phrases over and over. Do not submit images made from text and characters, as this will also get you banned.

Are you good at making pictures from ASCII? If so, then don't do it here in Newgrounds, do it at your own userpage. Smiley's are ok :), but spam them and its asking for a flag. Also, posting huge amounts of !!!!!!!!! or ???????? or even letters will be breaking this rule. We don't want to see you making a picture showing the finger to the author. Flag.

Also, if the review looks like this:

Flag it, it is useless and abusive, its spamming something. Personally, I think something that repeats itself too many times or takes up 99% of the review is abusive.

Do not use reviews to express your feelings that the entry should be BLAMMED. If you post "BLAM this" or something similar you will be banned. Use the review option to tell the author how they can improve their work.

I don't know about this, this might be borderline. For one thing, they say BLAM THIS PIECE OF SHIT, it is definitely abusive. If someone says WHY WASN'T THIS BLAMMED OR BLAM THIS without tips, its abusive. But I am not sure if they add tips and say this should have been blammed.

Do not use the review field to address other user's reviews you didn't agree with. You are to be reviewing the submission, not other people's reviews.

Agreeing with someone, helping someout out in a review, dunno. This is another borderline review. For one thing, if the review isn't targeted at the movie or game and is targeted at another person, its definitely abusive. But, they might give tips so it won't be abusive. Another borderline review.

If you believe an entry is stolen, do not comment about it in your review. If you are wrong, you may convince other users that the entry is stolen and you may cause a legitimate entry to receive an unfairly low score, or have the whistle blown on it. Use the whistle option, if available, to flag the entry as stolen when you believe that is the case. If there is no whistle option available (the entry is no longer under judgement) contact Wade with as many details as you can about the stolen Flash and where you think it was stolen from.

If you think it is stolen, don't say ZOMG THIS REVIW IZ STOLEN, THIS MUS B BANED LOLZ. If you think its stolen, don't post a review saying that, it may give a legit movie/game a low score, or worse. Instead, whistle the flash movie/game or contact Wade if the entry passed. I don't know his email, so just PM him. But, if you say that this flash was stolen in your review, you will get people to flag YOUR review.

If you think a submission doesn't belong on the front page of the site or shouldn't be featured in special sections of the site, keep it to yourself. The submissions on the front page and in special sections of the site are put there by our staff, not by the author. Keep your focus on how the person who submitted might improve their work.

Don't say WAH THIS MOVIE SUCKS AND DOESN'T BELONG IN FRONT PAGE, REMOVE IT TOM AND WADE. Its the staff's choice, not yours. You may help make it go on front page, but mostly, keep it to yourself. This can ask for a flagged review, but it might give tips as well. So this may or may not deserve a flag.

Flash files

"This movie is stolen" - Use this option if you are certain an entry has been submitted by someone other than the creator. After blowing the whistle you will be asked to indicate from whom or where the entry was stolen; provide links when possible.

Make sure you provide the links to the entry of the place you found it. A good example is this.

He posted a game that has the AlbinoBlackSheep symbol, and it says Cyco made it.

This means, he just took it from ABS.com, and submitted it as if it was his own. In other words, flag it because we don't need stolen flash movies on here(or games).

"This movie is malicious (e.g. auto-spawns pop-up windows, multiple submission)" - Use this option if an entry has malicious intent such as spawning pop-ups to other sites automatically, trying to run a script or interact with your computer in a malicious way, or was submitted repeatedly after being Blammed with no effort made to improve the entry. After blowing this whistle you will be asked to indicate which malicious acts the entry committed.

Don't submit virus-infected flash movies/games, please. This will definitely get your submission blammed, and maybe even get you banned from NG(either movies/games submitting or account gone). If it spawns pop-ups to other sites, tries to screw up your comp, was blammed before and no improvement was made, OR IS OUTWAR, FLAG IT. If its outwar, that author is fucked.

"This movie is unsuitable (e.g. hardcore adult, porn slideshow, hateful, illegal)" - Use this flag if you feel an entry goes beyond what is appropriate for Newgrounds.com. While we host a lot of extreme content we do not seek content that is racist, hateful, or illegal. Examples include child pornography, bestiality, photos or video of hardcore adult acts, pornographic slideshows, and images of people or animals being killed, tortured, or mutilated. (Note: If someone submits a Flash movie or game that merely uses hardcore material in a humorous way and the submission is at least rated accordingly, it may be acceptable. Again, after blowing this whistle you will be asked to indicate what you found to be unsuitable.

Don't flag it because it has it showing tits, penis, or ass. But if it is a porno slideshow, hardcore adult porn, hateful towards something, racist, bestiality, people getting mutilated, or child porn, flag it. If it is child porn, FLAG IT, it doesn't matter if they make it rated accordingly and is humorous, child porn is against the law, and will get you banned and arrested by the FBI.

In other words, submitting child porn will fuck you up. You will get banned, and the FBI will arrest you.

Outwar

Outwar is one of those sites that NG hates. People abuse it so they get more shit because they want referred people to come. If you submit this, chances are, you will get banned.

1. I lost my bronze whistle, what happened?
Chances are, threshold changed or you whistled non-abusive reviews.

2. What have you changed in this version?
Top part, blam this reviews, what spamming reviews does, what happens if you say this flash was stolen in your review, and special thanks.

3. A stolen flash has passed, I know because the author's name is "author's name" and the flash still had the symbol of the original place, and the original author was "another author's name" or was from NG, how can I contact Wade?

4. How many reviews/games/movies do you have to flag to get to the next whistle level?
I don't know, however the more you flag the wrong review/game/movie, the more flags you need to get to the next whistle level.

5. I seen someone say this is teh best and give a score of 10, is this abusive?
To my surprise, no. It seems like these are useless.

6. What about "this suxs" and score was 0?
Maybe, its borderline, it could.

7. What about this:

This game sucked, your controls are shit, make them WASD if you plan on the person who is playing to use the fucking mouse instead of the arrows. The graphics looks like you shit on them, work on them more. The sound sounds like a grinder that is broken and is fucking horrible, get closer to the mic or further away from it.

No, its not abusive, it does look harsh, but if they just insulted the flash, it could be borderline or abusive. This person was being harsh, but gave some suggestions to make the next flash better. Now, if the reviewer actually called the author a shit eater that fucks people and that the author should kill himself/herself, its abusive.

8. I see a review that says free blam point and gives some suggestions, is this abusive?
Did you see what I said back at BLAM THIS reviews, even if they gave suggestions to improve, if they say BLAM THIS PIECE OF SHIT, or HOW DID THIS GET THROUGH or even FREE FUCKING BLAM POINT HERE, its abusive.

9. What are dinosaur reviews, reviews of dinosaurs?
"Dinosaur reviews" are reviews made from 1995-2003. These reviews are off-limits to flagging, if you flag these reviews, the review mods clear it and you don't get shit.

10. What, even if the reviewer said GO FUCKING KILL YOURSELF YOU FUCKING MOTHERFUCKING PIECE OF SHIT, if it was made before 2003, its safe? And I lose whistle points?
Yes, it is safe because it was before the whistle system came out, so those reviews that were made in 2001 and was made at the submission "B" is safe, even if they called SBC(King of the Portal to most Clock Crew members, self-proclaimed king to others) a retard who should kill themself. However, you don't lose any whistle points, so be glad you don't lose them. Sorry that you can't have them deleted, but they are a part of history.

11. What about spam flash movies/games, can I flag those reviews?
I got no idea, some review mods clear it, no penalty. Others might delete them and give the people who flagged the review points.

Post abusive shit here

This topic is a good place to post the abusive reviews you found, that way, more people can flag it and get the review taken off. If it is a movie or game that is a porn slideshow, spawns pop-ups, or is stolen, you can also post it here. That way, mods can detect the review/entry and check if its abusive.
